Red Rock Canyon is a vast, arid nation carved by the relentless forces of nature. Its rugged terrain stretches as far as the eye can see, a tapestry of rust-hued rock formations, deep canyons, and windswept plateaus. At the heart of this breathtaking landscape lies Rattlesnake Junction, the thriving capital city, nestled between the convergence of two mighty rivers: the Copperhead River and the Turquoise River. These life-giving waterways meet at Lake Raven's Eye, a sparkling oasis that quenches the thirst of the city's inhabitants.
Lake Raven's Eye is a crystal-clear lake, approximately 10 miles long and 50 miles wide, fed by the Copperhead and Turquoise Rivers. Its abundant fish populations, including the prized Raven's Eye Trout, attract anglers from across the nation. Scenic boat tours and steam-powered paddlewheelers ply the lake's tranquil waters, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
The Copperhead River originates from the north, flowing through the canyon's rugged terrain with turbulent rapids and treacherous currents. In contrast, the Turquoise River flows from the east, carving a serpentine path through the rock formations with tranquil stretches and picturesque waterfalls. This river is home to the rare and majestic Turquoise River catfish.
The surrounding landscape is a maze of canyons, gorges, and mesas, sculpted over millions of years by erosion. Towering rock formations, such as the iconic Sentinel's Spire and the crimson-hued Red Rock Monolith, stand sentinel over the landscape. Steam-powered mining equipment and ingenious contraptions dot the landscape, a testament to Red Rock Canyon's resourceful inhabitants and their ability to harness the power of steam.
As the sun sets over Rattlesnake Junction, the canyon walls are set ablaze with hues of orange, red, and purple, casting a warm glow over the city and its people.

The Boneblood Mushroom is a rare, bone-white with red capped fungus with blood-red liquid dripping from its gills. It grows in places of necrotic energy or ancient, cursed grounds and serves as both a dark ritual component and a sustaining nutrient for vampiric creatures. They can be found primarily around grave sites and crypts scattered around The Red Rock Canyon, though some crafty herbalist have been able to grow colonies of them elsewhere.
Appearance: Bone-white cap, 3-6 inches in diameter, with red liquid that oozes from gills when touched or harvested.
Effect Duration: 1 hour (if consumed)
Ritual Uses: The Boneblood Mushroom can replace the need for blood and bone in dark rituals, necromantic spells, or other ceremonies requiring a life-force substitute. When used this way, the mushroom provides:
A +1 bonus to the spell or ritual's potency (such as extra range, effect, or duration).
A possible reduction in casting time by 1 round or 10 minutes, depending on the ritual.
Vampiric Sustenance: Dhampires and vampires can consume the mushroom to satisfy their need for blood for one day per mushroom. Consuming the mushroom provides the following:
Temporary Hit Points: Equal to 1d8 + their Constitution modifier.
Regeneration: Grants the consumer the ability to regain 1 hit point at the start of each of their turns for 1 hour.
Necrotic Resistance: Grants temporary resistance to necrotic damage for the duration of the effect.
Drawback: Consuming the mushroom may cause a surge of primal hunger. The user must succeed on a DC 11 Wisdom saving throw or be compelled to seek additional blood or sustenance (similar to the Blood Lust effect).
Harvesting Requirements: Harvesting a Boneblood Mushroom without damaging it requires a successful DC 15 Nature or Herbalism check. If failed, the mushroom loses its magical potency and bleeds out its life-giving red liquid.
Shelf Life: Fresh Boneblood Mushrooms last up to 1 month, if properly stored within a sealed, cold container.
Legends & Lore: In vampire society, the Boneblood Mushroom is highly prized for its life-sustaining properties and can be traded as a rare commodity. It is rumored that ancient vampires protect groves of these mushrooms as a reliable, renewable food source.
